The POW Circuits
A typical POW Circuit (if there was ever such a thing) will see you working to the clock and having to tackle some seriously challenging & functional stations, mainly with an urban feel. You will be using equipment such as Battle Ropes, Tyres, Sledgehammers, Hurdles, Kettle bells, Agility Ladders, Olympic Bars, Tri Grip Weights, Plyo boxes, and Bungee cords..... as well as having to overcome some tough 'equipment based' stations where there will be others where its nothing but you and your own bodyweight.
Each week will see the workouts primarily/sneakily themed towards specific areas of fous, which could range from being strength based and targeting specific parts of the body (ie: bums n tums, or arms and bingo wings or legs) through to being plyometrics/jump focused or even being purely fitness/cardio/aerobic/anaerobic.
Classes:
POW BASE - A less intense fitness/circuit session. Perfect for beginners, refreshers, ladies, teens (14+).
POW EXTREME - An extremely intense fitness/circuit session. Put together for those wanting a real challenge. Suitable for anybody wanting to stretch themselves. Its tough!
STRIKING FITNESS - A fantastic class built around striking using all limbs. This class is a fitness class and you will get a great workout but you will be hitting 'stuff' too. Focus pads, kick shields, thai pads etc. There is a great atmosphere in these sessions and everyone walks away with a smile. These sessions are growing so you have to get involved! DO NOT MISS OUT!
| The CLOCK We like to mix the circuit timings up and do utilise HIIT training rather than common circuits you may have been to in the past where prolonged 'work' and long 'rest' periods are typical. With our sessions you may have to work for 20, 30 or 40 seconds at really high intensity and rest for 10 seconds and then get straight back on it...... of course you go at your pace with a view to being able to increase your pace as you get fitter! |
The Tests
Some weeks we will run short fitness tests to again support you in recognising your current capability and set your own personal targets for future tests.
The Social Aspect The circuits are also a great way to meet new friends, have a great laugh and get involved with an absolutely awesome bunch of people. We do not allow for any kind of misbehaviour and as you will see when you come along, the sessions are great fun! | ![]() |
Anybody can come to the circuits. Yes, they are tough, but the entire nature of the circuits means you can simply go at your own pace. There is a lot of jumping about and we use a lot of equipment so if there is anything specific you are not comfortable with or feel you cannot tackle yet, then let us know and we can work around it, whilst setting a goal to being able to change that fact!
They are challenging, they are tough but they are also ultimately rewarding and great fun!
